Wow! Blocked for Explaining Human Behavior

I think this is the first time in my 6-years on SW that I’m actually shocked that I was blocked. I wasn’t offensive. I just said that if you are going to post a selfie that some people may comment negatively, and if that will hurt you then perhaps you should reconsider posting because there will always be judgmental people. I also said it was unkind to downvote a selfie, and if you didn’t like someone’s selfie, it was kinder to say nothing.

Some people are extremely touchy, it seems. 😳 There are too many sensitive Woke souls on this site.

[/quote] I agree. If you can't function without flattery or compliments, best not to post them.

P.S. This made me think of this quote:
[image deleted] Not wise to place our value merely on words and compliments, especially on the internet.

This is true. @Magenta
@Magenta
But that was their “expectation” — to receive only positive support and affirmation of what they want to hear.

When they get a response contrary to that , they are hurt because people are “supposed to be nice”

But the reality is— not everyone is nice or has to be nice to you. When you put yourself out there, you have to be ready for anything.

@CookieCrumbs Yes, exactly. 💟
Expectation bleeds into entitlement sometimes.

People who expect flattery on their looks alone rarely have any other virtues to be complimented for...

@wildbill83 That's why ,I don't particularly like selfie posts. I don't need nor want praise for that.
