He cant just rely on his base and he need independents and they are definitely not going for Trump he is done in their eyes they remember his disastrous first presidency and how it ended.

First they got to go through the primary, Trump killed the 2016 Republican primary, as those were extremely mild manner guys who didn't have the balls to be assertive (other than maybe Rubio, who just didn't have the backing). And.so.no one else was even close to Trump's more verbal lane.
But now... now almost everyone expected to run is expected to be in that lane, so it's going to be much more crowded and free up other lanes.
Also what's going to happen when a couple of them start taking shots at each other?
Also Trump and DeSantis can't both win... if Trump runs and doesn't get it, I'm wondering if he's going to try to take the party down with him...
