@SW-User I hope not as a patient!

SW-User
@samueltyler2 I had heart surgery but I'm doing fine now

@SW-User wow, as a retired physician I am curious, some congenital abnormality?

SW-User
@samueltyler2 I knew you were a physician. An ASD. But the hole was larger than they thought and I lost a lot of blood so I had to have several transfusions.

@SW-User nice to see a smile !

SW-User
@TexChik 😁 yeah I don't smile that often. Especially in pics.

@SW-User years ago our chief resident at about your age, was helping me teach students and I discovered a murmur which turned out, as you did, to be an ASD and she underwent surgery as well. It was shocking since her murmur had been considered "innocent" by her previous physicians. The missed the fact that there was the classic change in her other heart sounds. Not to be conceited, but it was one of several times that I "scooped" others because of my cynicism, compulsivity and care.

@SW-User lovely....get well very soon

SW-User
@samueltyler2 and because you found it you might have saved her life or having a stroke. Mine had never been detected till December last year.

SW-User
@Jlhzfromep thank you I will

@SW-User it is impossible to know what would have happened to either of you without surgery. But, yes, a stroke could have occurred, infection of the defect and serious heart damage. The similar histories is amAzing. I'd love more information about your history to include in lectures. Can we chat?
