I love watching people throw temper tantrums as you confront them with facts

There's this psychological thing called the backfire effect.

When someone's views are challenged, unless they're -willing- for those views to be challenged, their mental response is pretty similar to physical attack. It's great. Makes everything easier.

Giving facts to a stupid person is like giving garlic to a vampire.

Some "facts" equal "what I believe is true" for many.

Opinions stupid or logical are not facts.
Truth: is fact,as in the person did/said what they did or said or they didn't .
The conclusion proved the hypothesis.
The observation is obvious.

I think many hate that last one most of all, because it breaks down their illusion of what should be rather than what is.

I enjoy some debates on SW. The problem is that it is frustrating to see the others weave and bob trying to avoid the data I show them, change subjects and eventually say they are entitled to their opinions!

I have my detractors. I block them for a few days, then see what they do.

Extreme evangelical Christians block me. Not much loss there.
I think they condemn me to hell, or perhaps the Gaza Strip.

The most common response when you confront someone with facts is "Don't get me started on that!"

well i mean it makes sense, the sound they produces fills up their heads!

And then they end up blocking, at least here on SW!
