Apparently I should have known better

Apparently I need to start asking if self harm scars are a turn off so soon in a new flirtation.

Apparently not admitting something im severally ashamed of means im hiding something

Apparently I should have disclosed this before the first date even happen.

Apparently im an idiot 🤷‍♀

I never dated anyone who has self harned but I have worked with a few who clearly self harmed in the past but it was never mentioned. They were lovely people and that's all that mattered. If I had dated either I would have hoped they would eventually talked to me about it but in their own time.
The person you dated was totally in the wrong.

No, that’s on them. Screw them.
@MellyMel22 I wanted to that’s the bad part. I actually really liked them and it had been a while and it’s just hurtful when my weakest moments come back to haunt me again and again

@MyMonstersAreReal I would understand why it wasn’t shared that early on. They should too. I think it just wasn’t meant to be. If something like that could upset them that much. You deserve better. But I know it can suck still.
I mean, for a first date I don’t see how that would be a prerequisite. I don’t know, I don’t date so I have no idea how it works these days.

You’re not an idiot. That’s a tough thing to share and takes a lot of trust to tell someone. I’m sorry that happened but that’s a them issue.
