I’ve been robbed!!! 😭

I saw the motion light come on last night, and didn’t think much of it as it was probably either a raccoon or an opossum. This morning I went out to water my tomato plant, and my almost ripe one is missing! So it was definitely either an opossum or a raccoon last night. I don’t mind sharing, but I wanted the first ripe one 🥺

Back in the day I used to have a triple grafted Apple tree in my back yard. It could produce three different apple types and I was quiter proud of it. Then the local parrots found it and started stripping it a week before the apples were ready to eat. I put up nets. They went right through them. The feathered little pirates.. In the end I just let them have the tree..😷

@Zaphod42 Maybe if you left them a note?😷

@whowasthatmaskedman The effing tree rats do that with my pecan tree. The birds stake out my fig tree too.

@Crazywaterspring I resorted to focusing on Citrus. They mostly leave that alone. Although something attacks the odd lemon now and then..😷

@Zaphod42 You would probably have been too late anyway.
Zaphod42 · 51-55, M
@Degbeme Yeah, and even if not, it would have just come back later 🤷‍♂

@greensnacks Freeloader is more like it 🙄
I replanted that volunteer plant, and kept it watered through this 100 degree summer. All I asked was the first ripe one before the night critters started in 🫩
@Zaphod42 no netting?
Zaphod42 · 51-55, M
@greensnacks Nah. It’s just a random volunteer that grew in the yard.
