Feeling like I ran a marathon
Or at least this is what I assume it would feel like.
I’ve rarely had a dream where my body physically feels the effects, but I vividly remember I was finishing a race. Verbally telling myself to just take one more step and then another and then another. Somebody, or maybe multiple people, helped me along those final few yards, but the one step at a time thing was real.
Crossed a finish line that was made for me, like they would do for the final set of runners and just stumbled into the next thing.
It could have been a marathon, or even a 5K. But the staggered finish was real.
Woke up and my body feels it. My legs feel it.
It’s weird because this is one of the few times where I know my muscles and brain are connecting to say “You got this. Just keep plugging along”.
So yeah.
