Lonely and detached

I just signed up for an event on a Meetup.com where you meet whole bunch of strangers to make friends. The problem is that theres not to many events for young adults only olds pol like my parents age. The city I live in is not to big and the only event I found was for older ppl like my moms age, and I wish I could find something's for my age or around my age to meet ppl here singles. Anywho I am going to the event tonight even though I probably will not make friends, I just desperately need some human interaction in person lol maybe I will meet a cute older guy since I am single I dunno. 🤷🏻‍♀ I dunno yes wish me luck

I'm one of the elders you spoke of. Meetup was suggested to me to help with grieving. I tried it once at a local outdoor gathering. It was probably my state of mind but the socializing just felt forced. I didn't try again. I wish you luck maybe something good will happen.
