I Am Lonely

I try to remember that there were times throughout my life when I encountered people who understood and appreciated me, liked my humor, wanted to hear from me, and just plain enjoyed my company. It was weird and rare, but it was nice. It's my standard. I'd rather be alone otherwise, because it's even lonelier being around people who don't want to be around me. I won't do it.
