And another thing..
When I share about my own experiences, most of y’all are quick to get angry at the men that raped me.
But when I share about women getting raped in Palestine or Afghanistan, all of a sudden there’s a “reason” for it?
I’m not worth more than any other woman on this planet. We’re all human, we’re all women, we all deserve to live our lives in peace, and not in fear of being raped, beaten or killed.
NOBODY deserves to live in constant fear, in genocide, war, or under restrictions from their government. It might feel far fetched to some cause it’s so far from where you live or what shows up on your feed, but only luck is keeping you from being in the same situation.
Your country might be attacked one day (hopefully not), but then you would need people to speak up for you and the people you love. You would pray that people didn’t look the other way and justified your suffering, because of the people that’s running your country.
