Can we elaborate a model of reality that prepares us and future generations better to face adversity? How do we avoid mollycoddling kids?

“We are happy when people/things conform and unhappy when they don't. People and events don't disappoint us, our models of reality do. It is my model of reality that determines my happiness or disappointments.”
― Stefan Zweig, Chess Story

Get kids off social media, let kids fail and axcept responsibility for their mistakes. Tell them its ok to gey 2nd, 3rd or whatever place as long as they worked at it. That said when they fail, they do not get a participation award.

Real life doesnt care about your feelings, just results.
