Do you ever wonder if…

You are the only one who wonders why others feel, like or do something and you don’t?

For instance, why do so many say they must have music in their lives to make it through the day and you seldom listen to music? Or why do people have a bucket list and you don’t?

We are all shaped differently by our environment- experiences, people, etc.

I stopped wondering why people like rollercoasters, but I don’t. And I know I’m not afraid of height because I had done riskier activities in high elevation.

We read about what people on SW would do (or fantasized doing). Would I do those things? I know my answer is NO. Would it matter to know what drives them to perform those acts? There comes a point when curiosity would just be a waste of our time.

What I’m saying is, I’ve stopped wondering why they do. What’s important is I know why I do or don’t.

@CookieCrumbs I wouldn't disagree with any of what your wrote, but still, at times I do wonder why... about many things.

I don't let it take up spcce in my head or alter me, but the wonder does sneak in from time to time.
@Ontheroad
Wondering is normal.
Hoping to find a definitive answer about why people do what they do would be a close to impossible. 😅

@CookieCrumbs isn't that the truth... I can't count the times in just the last week when I've seen, read or heard something that was so far beyond me I could never understand the why.

We like what we like and do what we do. Simple!

Sure, I could scratch my head - and do often, actually! - about just how people vivaciously read and watch 'Harry Potter' or watch certain reality TV shows.

But....I can't engage in just what happened the other night in "Love Island", so I just sit...listen...and wish I could turn my ears off! Lol!

For the record, I do listen to music throughout the day. It's important to me.

@SammyJo Have audible so I've been listening to Harry Potter, the Order of the Phoenix. Read it to Nick when he was little. I'd forgotten the whole thing. Besides that I listen to Pimsler Spanish lessons. I think i've spent five years on Spanish I.

@Tastyfrzz Well, nice to remind yourself of all that. Coolio!

It's just whatever creates the happy chemicals in our brains. It astounds me when someone says "I hate reading!" or "I hate drinking water!"

But then, I will be the one over here saying, "I hate card games!" and "I hate horse racing!"

Hyperbole Aside,I do listen to music most, days I make lists but since I am not particularly into classic rock its only a reminder..music hits your brain at a different level

@bookerdana I see that many do this, or something similar and I do wonder why I don't... it's like what am I missing? Am I just wired differently? Or, and this is what happens when I listen to music - I enjoy what I like, but it's a distraction and I have things to do. Which isn't always true😁

@Ontheroad I post a lot of music..I started the Twenty First century music group...most kids are passionate about music..i just kept going..since most people haven't actually heard much good music since the radio stations are two companies across the U.S.
