U.S. Electoral College

I'm done with it... have been for quite some time. Depending on what state you live in your vote means nothing.

We (the country) should have a President elected by the people, not politicians.

I think the entire concept of so-called 'united Sates' is where America shot itself in the foot in the first place.

With all those States and all those Districts all acting like they're independent Nations unto themselves with inconsistent laws on the same issues from coast to coast, no wonder the country as a whole appears to be to awkward, so backward and so fragile on the world stage compared to any other First World Nation out here.

As an American, why would you even bother living there when there is so much better to be found elsewhere?

That is precisely why we live here. We have our issues, but we love our country.

You need to listen to the education you are receiving from me here, old man. The standard of living in USA pales in comparison to every First World Nation in existence. If you got out once in a while and saw how the rest of the world actually lives in comparison to how you exist in the USA, you'd actually apply for Landed Immigrant Status in one of those other countries, just like thousands of Americans are doing every year to get the hell out of the USA. Don't be the last one out.

You have no idea what my knowledge base is comprised of, nor do you know of my worldly experience either, which I can pretty much guarantee is far more vast than you've otherwise demonstrated yourself as having.

I don't think that anyone could teach you anything about any country anyway, Ontheroad especially when you perceive yourself as being 'all-knowing' about your country, which I can say with accuracy that you really don't know a whole lot about if you actually think it's the best Nation out here.

I can assure you, the USA is not even within the top 20 countries in the world with the highest standard of living, which means it doesn't even qualify as a desirable alternative country to live in if one were fleeing a Third World Nation.
