True victims, those that have been actually victimized, don't even behave like the "victims" we see on a daily basis. Some people enjoy the martyrdom, the victimhood, because it makes them unique. Of course, they downplay actual victims, but who cares right?

@Queendragonfly I had a thought about that too, as nothing is black and white.

@Magenta There are cases when people without trauma has low self esteem or low self worth that results in a victim mentality. But they don't do it for attention or ego either, they do it for support, it's a subconscious way to scream for support and help.
