People are too soft nowadays.. honesty is a good thing when it is given from a good place.
Mindfuladventurer · 36-40, M
@Primnproper but being honest is not being appreciated

Because sometimes honesty hurts peoples feelings. I had an aunt that would tell everyone what she thought. Didn't matter if she hurt peoples feelings. She's did it for as long as I can remember. Now everyone just says " oh that's just Becky, if she didn't say what's on her mind she wouldn't be Becky. I call BS. She needed a filter.
@melissa001 That's more gossipy trolling than being honest, what she did was out of line.

Being honest is like declaring yourself as the enemy. If you said something like “trans women aren’t real women”, then you would have the trans community coming after you. People like to witch hunt. Say something that doesn’t sit with them, even if it’s the complete truth, you’re going to make enemies. Being honest for no good reason is how you get cancelled.

It means they suspect (and most likely accurately) you are not being sincere with your intentions based on your behaviour.

@MarkPaul how did you come into conclusions with my simple words. That’s the question of my comment

@Mindfuladventurer Observation, mate. Observation.
Because people are so used to being lied to they think honesty is deceptive.

@ChipmunkErnie I think Mindful was referring more to honesty in general, not specifics.
