I'm watching Hoarders

This is some of the most shocking television I've ever seen in my life. Most reality shows are just BS but this is real horror.
I know it's an illness but it's still hard to fathom.

A lot of them seem to have abandonment issues. It's like they can't let go of things for fear of losing something else.

@KuroNeko some start out collecting books and magazines because they love to read and become overwhelmed and don’t read what they have. Many times they get stuff because it so cheap at yard sales or find it trashed and rescue it. So many reasons for their accumulations

@KuroNeko they get overwhelmed through health problems many times. But yeah you’d think the ones with trash could bring their trash barrel inside and load it up with empty containers and scraps of old food etc to get started but they seem helpless
