Can We All Just Agree…

That even though it’s not the correct way to say it, we all say marshmellow and not marshmallow. The latter way just rolls off the tongue weirdly. The former sounds much better. 🤓

I decided to look this up in my old dictionary, printed in 1976.

I learned two things:

1) It gives the "mel" pronunciation first, followed by the "mal" pronunciation.

2) "marsh mallow" (two words) is actually the name of a plant that grows in marshes!
