If forgiveness is something so easily given and meant, ever wonder how many relationships would mend?

That is, if the person who is sorry follows the apology with consistent changed actions for the better.

Why a person feels they need to apologize is so complicated, though. They could want to apologize for what they shouldn't? I do believe in forgiveness, I apologized to my ex when I wasn't available emotionally, which led to her having an affair while I was grieving. Yes my ownership of my whereabouts helped find healing together, but it can become such a complicated tangled web.

It's not about saying/feeling sorry or apologising or forgiven. The subsequent change in behaviour and doing something to repent is necessary.

If changed actions do not follow an 'apology' does the word even have meaning.
