I'm starting to realize why I don't ask people questions.

It's not because I have no interest in people. But people are idiots. And intelligent questions I ask people irl often devolve into personal attacks for some reason, so I no longer ask questions. And the truth is what matters. Not someone's opinions for me. So instead of risking them having gotten bad information, I seek out other sources instead.
