A general question about responses on here.

I have noticed some post responses are nothing more than the word - Word.
I have even had two of my posts answered with this response. I never responded to that response, just shook my head, huh?
What does it mean when a response is no more than the word - Word?

I believe it is an "Americanism" for something like "You said it" or "Aint that the truth." beyond that I cant help you. It seems like a waste of keystrokes to me..😷
