It's strange and to some extent hard to become the one you intuitively knew but never met. The question in your mind: "Is that really me?" comes up frequently. Annoyingly so. Somewhere there was a fork in the road and you could only choose left or right. There was no option to continue on straight (xcuse the pun) I'll head on into the direction I am going sedulously...

I think it's more like we learn better how to "play the game" as time goes on, and so for that reason things get easier. Not because they actually get any easier but we do adapt and learn.
