My dad said he's proud of me 🥹

He said I remind him of himself back when he first had me (I was his first kid). He started working his ass off right outta high school & immediately moved into his own place & has supported all his kids on his own ever since.

I've always struggled to find motivation in my life. As soon as I would start losing anything, I always gave up & spiraled downward. Mostly, I just felt tired of losing over & over so I would get very depressed about it. Then I'd throw the rest away.
Now my life isn't just about myself anymore. It's about my daughter. So anytime I ever feel tired, like I failed, or like giving up, I think about my daughter & my family. That makes me push even harder because I'm not doing it for me. I'm doing it for my family. My motivation has changed so much ever since I had my daughter & I'm grateful for that.

I heard someone say before that "you make more money once you have kids" & now I see what that means. It's because you work so hard & push so hard once you have your kids. It makes you hustle harder & work harder than you ever have before. So even if you might've had more spending money when you were alone... You still make way more money when you have a family 🤷 you just don't get to see that as much because you gotta spend all of it 😂

IDK..

I don't necessarily agree that "you make more money once you have kids".....

But you certainly spend money differently "once you have kids"....

Those "man-toys" just don't seem as important anymore...

There's nothing better than that feeling when he says that.
