Explain this to me please

A little old lady at the bus stop told me that she had lost her purse and didn't have the bus fare to get home. I told her that I don't give a shit. I was told that was really rude of me.

So the next day I saw her again and this time I gave her a shit. She still wasn't happy. Apparently she didn't want a turd after all. WHAT DID SHE WANT FROM ME? 😒
