Sir Keir Starmer has resigned

He has accepted that he is not the person to lead the party into the next election, much like a Vegemite sandwich might accept that it's not the height of nouvelle cuisine. So we now await his successor, who will become the latest in a long line of memorable prime ministers such as.....that guy.....then there was the woman.......and the other guy.......etc. Sir Keir does however leave us in a great position on the world stage. Our military is second only to that of the Maldives, youth unemployment is marginally lower than that of a primary school and it costs less to fill your car than it does to buy a new house.

So it's not all bad.
