We also call friends,Guys and you see it on the website,alongside y'all...aren't you glad we settled on guys for the plural..what an embarrassment to hear someone say

The first time I noticed that was in The Heathers (1989) when one of the girls called the other girls "you guys." On Leave It to Beaver, way back in 1960, Wally Cleaver called his parents "you guys."
