How can people afford rent in big cities nowadays ?

I rent a small ex NSW housing commission house and pay nearly $2000 a month for it. This is not in Sydney. My rent went up 50 a week last yr and I'm expecting a 50 to 100 a week increase later this yr when lease is due for renewal.
@zonavar68 and yet privatized housing isn't going to come up here. You deserve this.

@Roundandroundwego This one is privately owned. first owner sold it in 2019 and luckily I got to stay on.
@zonavar68 everyone should have a home in the neighborhood of their choice. Paying and working for it should not be part of the guarantee.
