Does your hometown have any fun nicknames?

I don't live there anymore but my hometown is westland,michigan. It's referred to as wasteland. It's not that bad I never understood why it got dubbed wasteland.

Sadly, due to some shootings in the past, my City is known as Shottingham...

However, more funnily sweeties, due to some Earl or someone, it was originally called Snottingham...as in the Earl Of Snot!
