When did you last go to your old stomping ground, and had it changed much?

I haven't been to my old stomping grounds since March 1998, almost 26 years, my friends still in Portland all tell me I'd no longer recognize my Beloved HomeTown anymore, that too many buildings have been demolished, too many businesses are gone, and that too many of the criminal element has taken over along with rampant homelessness.
