I moved from my hometown the day after I turned 16 to live with my mother and stepfather so I could finish highschool in another state roughly 2000 miles away annd lost everyone I thought was friends with me. Was it rough for you to move? Did you lose any friends or miss any important events?

Oh wow that is not bad at all. Do you think Kyoto is different or hard to adjust to? Is this the farthest from your hometown you've been?

@Prometheus it is a much slower life and not as much going on.
I miss being closer to my friends and I have visited Kyoto many times before so I am not completely lost.
Osaka is a much more lively city.
Trains in Japan are really good and fast so distance isn’t that bad.
I like living in Kyoto though. I think even though it’s not as exciting.
it’s a really nice place to live and you still have easy good transport access to rest of Japan.
Kyoto is not as big as Osaka so I think it’s easier to get to places.

Which do you like better?
Shine · 26-30, F
@Mamapolo2016 Kyoto is more pretty whilst Osaka is more lively and has more exciting things to do
They are very close to each other so it’s not so bad, I can visit my friends anytime I like.
very quick there by train.
