Dad behaved well, his brother who used to be so mean to him is gravely ill, so he wasn't as talkative, I read to him, and then slapped the headphones on when his show was on. I loved reading my physical books, to feel all those pages gripped by the right hand as so many hours to look forward to!!

But now I have this with the kindle in the dark in bed, the majority of my delectable literary treats are there, chiefly Rilke. Mark Musa's translation of Petrarch's Canzoniere, And Leopardi's Canti translated by Jonathan Galassi, plus a prose translation by John D. Sinclair of The Divine Comedy, just a few i'm proud of having.
I'll update pinned posts tomorrow, just wanted to send word out in the manner of pinch me am I dreaming or is this really real?
