Went to a local chili cookoff
It runs from 11am to 5pm, but after trying 6 or 7 different booths of chili samples, and with it being 93°F out, one of the people I was with was not feeling well and wanted to sit down. So we sat down for a minute and they said they felt like passing out, so we ended up leaving and didn't vote on any chili booths.
We got there at 10am, so had to wait until 11am to be able to get in. But we ended up leaving at about 11:45am. Getting into the cool AC in the car is more important than eating chili. But I think after trying all the ones I tried, I would have to say I prefer a sweet chili, with maybe a little spice. There was one with the ghost peppers and all that other really really hot stuff, which I almost grabbed, then realized yea, I better not go near that.
Regardless it was fun. There was a band playing RHCP songs too lol. Red Hot Chili Peppers.
