Update on my day
So today I get up jump in the shower and as I grab my towel to dry myself I pull my shoulder and back and I’m about to start my first day at work 🤦♀️.
Anyways that didn’t stop me and off I went and OMG as soon as I walked in to my first patient I felt in my gut this job is for me.
We visited patients that were dying and one of the family members started to cry and I nearly burst into tears but I centred myself straight away and things just got better.
We got to sit with a lovely lady who I knew didn’t have long left and I felt she was so scared to pass over but it gave me comfort to know that we was able to sit with her while her family members had a break and at one point I really did think she was going to pass over but she wouldn’t of be alone.
Today has been so rewarding for me and it feels like I been doing it all my life, I knew as soon as I walked in to that hospital today that this is what I need to be doing and I finally feel I have a purpose.
Feeling so grateful but also sending my love to all the people who are on their way out and to their family members. 🙏🏻🦋
