Today has been a long day... Bear with me!
I had nightmares where I would wake up at 12pm and realised that I had overslept and missed the driving lessons which would be 160$ down the drain! I woke up and looked at the time, it was 6am, my lessons did not start until 9:40am. I went back to sleep.
The driving lessons went very well, I learned the final things of this journey and I think I'm ready to put a pin in it. On the 26th I'll hopefully be updating you with good news.
When I got home I fixed my lamp and packed all of my things to go back to my apartment. My mother drove me back here and I froze once we got here and stood outside of the building, I forgot to bring the keys...!!!!!! I got so scared! Imagine driving for 2 hours, packing all of this shit, and not even being able to get into the apartment. I had remembered bringing everything with me for once, but the most important part! 😱 I then scrambled for keys, remembering that I saw them in the bottom of the bag thinking "I should probably take those out of the bag so I don't forget to bring them", and I hoped heartily that I would have forgotten to take them out. I poured everything out of the first bag... nothing... The second bag.. THEY'RE THERE!! THANK GOD! 🙏
Then we got inside and started putting up white and black curtains and cutting them to length. She brought the sewing machine with her so we could do all of that. She measured the white curtain back at home a while back and she was about to make the cut before I said we should take measurements just to be completely sure. She thought that the curtains were as long as the black curtains, but when I measured the one white curtain to the black curtains it was way shorter.
I said: Good thing we measured again because the white curtains are 2.5 meters and the black curtains are 3 meters long. 😱
Surprised, she replied: Wow okay, I measured it by putting them side by side and it appeared as if the white curtain was as long as the black curtain, but I suppose when you do it that way you get a margin of error... 🤔
I replied: A margin of error of 0.5 meters? 😖
Her head fell down and swung back up again and she started laughing, repeating "Margin of error of 0.5 meters 🤣". We both burst into tears. I told her that the expected scientific margin of error is about 0.1-1mm 😂
We then decided to not cut the curtains, we put everything up and looked at it. "Amazing" she said, I nodded. We then noticed that one of the white curtains was perfect length, and the other was bunched up on the floor, so apparently one of the curtains were 3m and the other was 2.5m, so we were both technically correct. 😂 This is also funny because it was only a 25% chance that this specific scenario would take place, and in the other 75% of the times we would probably end up with curtains that were way too short.
22pm she hugged me farewell and I had a shower. It's 22:22 at the time of posting this.
So what do you think about the curtains?
