I Have Good Days And Bad Days And Every Day In Between

Why has every doctor's appointment this last month always had someone screaming in pain from behind the doors?

Doesn't make for a relaxed waiting room.

What sort of doctor?
@samueltyler2 My gyno. Made it extra scary.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@EllaDisenchanted Was someone in labor? I know they aren't allowed to tell you anything, but that is frightening. I Did the screaming go on ling? My mond makes up all sorts of stories for the reason.

More importantly, i suppose, are you okay? I assume it was a routine check up?
@samueltyler2 No, they don't do actual delivery with that doctor. It went on a little while.

I'm fine, just had to get some stuff done.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@EllaDisenchanted no they never plan to do a delivery there, but things do happen. In school I delivered a woman in an elevator, another in the restaurant across from the hospital.

Was your stuff painful?
@samueltyler2 True, good point. I don't rightly know what was going on.

Yeah, very.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@EllaDisenchanted I assume then, that you didn't scream? Are you okay now?
@samueltyler2 I'm not a screamer with pain. I'm a grab something and groaner. Yeah, it'll get better.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@EllaDisenchanted did you have someone to support you?
@samueltyler2 Myself. Hubby had to work.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@EllaDisenchanted that wasn't nice of him, did he know you were having a procedure?
@samueltyler2 Yes. He has responsibilities tho and not everyone can just take a day off. It was quite routine for me. Didn't need support.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@EllaDisenchanted okay, then he is off the hook. Many times I required a person to accompany a patient if I thought I'd have to do a procedure.
@samueltyler2 It's quite minor and I had to come in for my transfusion anyways so nothing big. I'm a country girl. We don't need support for every small thing, we just get things done.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
Transfusion?
@samueltyler2 Yeah. I already was scheduled for it so made more sense to get done what I needed to after with my other doctor.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@EllaDisenchanted am I too inquisitive in asking Why you are getting a transfusion?
@samueltyler2 My anemia
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
Do you have a hereditary anemia? Usually the treatment for anemia, in my practice days, is finding the cause and eliminating it.
@samueltyler2 Severe iron deficiency. Side problem from other stuff.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@EllaDisenchanted blood loss isbtjebusual cause of such, once the source ofntje blood loss is found and fixed, the anemia corrects. I am sure your doctors known what they are doing and we probably shouldn't bendiscussingnyour health on a public forum anyway.

By the way, the pomegranate is considered a very important fruit historically and in Judeo-Christian tradition.
@samueltyler2 I just need occasional transfusions once in a while to jumpstart blood cell production when my levels get too low. Pretyy standard stuffs.

Yep. I've always loved it and its romance lore.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@EllaDisenchanted you have only a problem with your red blood cells?

You know about the fixed number of seeds?
@samueltyler2 My anemia is severe iron deficiency from my body not processing things right. So My red blood cell count is lower than average and i can have dips that can be dangerous. So once in a while I need a transfusion when my iron supplements aren't enough.

I don't know what you mean. Like master cells?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@EllaDisenchanted there are white cells and platelets also produced by the bone marrow. You don't absorb iron then orally?
@samueltyler2 Ah, i've never heard them called seeds. Just white ells and platelets. It absorbs but not fully. I get about 40ish percent to 60ish percent of what I get from food or supplements. My body just doesn't absorb the rest. Something to do with my protein absorption issues but the docs aren't fully sure how it's related.
