Anyone else think Oppenheimer wasn’t very good?

I really wanted to like it, too.

I had read Sherwin's Oppenheimer biography, which the movie is based on, before I saw the film, and I have to say it's a very good adaptation. Some say the movie's too long but I beg to disagree. I would have watched it even if it were 12 hours long. People discussing communism and plutonium-based implosion bombs. Wow.

@Bumbles Yes me too but the movie wasn't about the Manhattan project, it was a biopic about Oppie.
By the way, if you want to know more about how to make the bomb, read the "Los Alamos Primer", written by Robert Serber, Oppie's postdoc. The book is based on five lectures Serber gave at Los Alamos, really excellent material, it was de-classified in the 1960s.
