It wasn't so long ago! I'm twenty! [I Miss Childhood]

Time just rushes by so much these days, you're aware of deadlines like at school, but there's no playtime really those innocent playtimes when you can with your friends, played skipping games and all those things young girls do. I liked dress ups, and my best friend Caoimhe would come play with me and we raided my Ma's old wardrobe which had all kinds of things in!

Caoimhe isn't here at Trinity. My best friend here is my roomie Molly (in Irish it's spelled Mallaidh), and we aren't quite as close as I am with my childhood bestie. But all three of us are musicians and dancers! Caoimhe and I went to Irish traditional dance classes, and then on to other styles of dance too! Our group performed around Ireland and we went to international dance competitions together (my parents always seemed upset by this but they never sought to stop me, but accepted that Caoimhe's Ma came with us to help).

I do miss those fun filled days now I'm so deeply immersed in to training for what I shall do for the rest of my life!

In a few years, you'll look back and miss your early 20s and how carefree and fun they were.

The best we can do is enjoy our time where we're at, even if it's different from what we used to be.

@DunningKruger So very true and wise! I just got a little nostalgic!

Yes. Savor each day. Life truly is so short. Have you ever seen older people that keep trying to hold onto their youth?
I don't mean youthful older people, I mean the ones that literally think they are 21 at 55.
I think that those people were afraid of growing older. They may not have progressed and achieved what they wanted in life. They are trying to hold on but you can't.
Be aware of each day and do what you want with your time. If things and people are important to you make it a priority.
