People are always out to try to make people look stupid in any way they possibly can. By stupid shit too. Just goes to show you everyone has something wrong with them. They could be OCD or maybe they're looking to argue with you. Maybe they're passive aggressively trying to get to you in whatever way. Maybe you said something that affected them in some type of way. Maybe their parents expect them to be perfect. And it's always very possible they have to figure out a way to make someone feel stupid in order for themselves to feel better about who they are. Usually that's what it is. Just like saying "yikes...." Whatever way to make someone feel less.
