how to deal with jealousy

[c=BF0080][i]i get jealous of others a lot, of what they have, people's interactions, peoples successful relationships.....mens interactions with women which go well, men and women flirting with each other....i feel jealous because i think that should be me or why can't that happen with me?

i'm a single middle aged male who has never had a partner and i have struggled with mental problems my entire adult life....i often get told that that isn't other people's fault, people are not to blame for my misfortunes...but still i feel jealous and angry observing other people and what they have.[/i][/c]
