Are you easily put off by how someone might speak with you here?

Some people have an agenda when they reach out on here. I have encountered several, shall we say, 'shallow' people on here just so they don't have to feel that embarrassment guys must feel going into a store and trying to buy a girlie magazine. Do they still sell them, or do you have to go to specialist stores now? Anyhow, you get an idea from what they say on their initial contact what they are after, yes, just a line like you would encounter at a bar, a club or a pub, but with a chance of anonymity for them on here.

I won't say I'm clever, but when I have had several 'attempts' in one day I get a little jangled and I am more direct, and certainly more curt, in my responses, and they kind of lose the nerve. It isn't a laughing matter, mind, because some of these people could have quite sinistre intent!
