How do you deal with people that are constantly trying to get your attention?

This could be a clingy friend, a coworker that calls too much, another coworker that makes rude side comments in a sad attempt to establish superiority, an older person constantly reminding you how much they “like” you when the feeling’s not mutual. How do you deal with the chaos of people’s constant need to interact with you in order for them to feel seen when it’s all really unnecessary?

Become self-employed and deal with animals, not people.👌😉
@Fluffybull oh I wish!! I would love that.

I filmed it...it's over.
@Helloeveryone I’ve thought of this. I can’t film in my work setting for obvious reasons, but I always laughed to myself and thought- if only these people could see how ridiculous they act. They’d be so embarrassed of themselves.
apathy, not hate, is the opposite of love.
