I'm not advocating gun ownership but this is the prettiest gun I've ever seen

Very very nice. I think they are Colt SAAs.

This is my Colt Double Eagle...One of the 36 ever built.

@Atlotto wow... that's a nice looking gun

@Atlotto I don't know where you got the idea that there was only 36 of these pistols produced. Colt made these from 1989-1996. Many thousands of these were made during that time. They sell today for around $1,150. Nice pistol but hardly rare.

@Lilymoon Correction: 38 were built by the Colt Custom Shop.

@Atlotto Okay. You didn't say it was from the custom shop. The standard production ones number in the thousands. That's what I thought you were showing.
Atlotto · M
@Nitedoc I can't find any that have been sold. What do you think it's worth?
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
@Atlotto I don't know. I don't remember hearing about one being sold either. Just hang onto it as an investment. It may be worth a pretty penny. It will only get more valuable in the future. I'll see if I can find out something about the value of the custom shop Double Eagle and let you know If I find something.

Speaking of investments, I just bought two Nylon 66s

@Atlotto Not bad. They are rising in value but not just a whole lot. Vintage "new" ones are around $500. People are really buying the older S&W blued revolvers with the original wood grips. Prices on the model 19's and it's cousins run almost $2,000 now, used! New in the box unfired go for around $3,500 - $4,000. 20 years ago you could easily find these revolvers for around $200 - $250. That's quite an increase! The classic Colt DA revolvers are increasing in value the same way.
