Ever think someone is pretty cool and then they say or do something that totally blows that theory

I used to be cool with my younger brother even though we hardly see each other i thought we were all good because we are sister and brother- found out from my mum that he doesnt like me. He was talking bad about my son to my mother. Pretty obvious that hes got a chip on his shoulder about me. That took me a long time to come to terms with i was shocked.

That's a particularly deep/harsh wound.
Looking at it now--it sounds as though it was in the past--do you think he was jealous of you? Jealous of your own family taking you away from him? ?

@SomeMichGuy Ive never thought about jealousy coming into it. Maybe he was jealous of the fact my son spent alot of time with my dad growing up ( dad passed in 2015) and also my mum he could be bitter about that( as he has two young kids who never really got to know their grandad). . But other than that i think he just doesnt like me:(
