Why does my brain do this? Strange, upsetting dream

The dream was a straight shot of my POV(point of view) .

I was seated at what I guess was a repast meal. Someone had passed away. I was looking at my mom. The feeling I had was "I'm so sad...my aunt MaryAnn is gone!".

I then woke up, temporarily relieved, but then reality set in, as I recalled that two of my aunts passed between 2021/22. And my aunt MaryAnn was one of them. 😭

That's just how your brain processes it.

I remember when my cousin "John" died at the age of 17 in a drunk driving accident. Maybe a week after I heard the news, I had a dream that he was talking to me, and I said, "I thought you were dead." He said I must have had a bad dream.

Then I woke up. And I remembered.
