Im struggling with my dark side. I have always had dark thoughts/fantasies but lately they are becoming darker and more intense. Crossing the line from fantasies to actual desires. I dont know what to do about it.
You're not the only one. You still have the choice to resist the temptations though. Keep doing that even when it gets unbearable, it'll get easier for it to pass.
Don't beat yourself up over having various desires. Then use your discretion on whether or not you'd like to act on them, depending on their affect on others. Just asking the question eliminates your need for "therapists" 🙄 like some are suggesting. Managing fantasies/desires and accepting them can add a little spice to life. The ones who tell you that you need help or that you have some sort of problem, well ..... take with a grain of salt 🙂
I know what you are feeling there I want to blow the world up because all humans are just killing each other but I am at the point off hopping we all will die I'm sick of people saying life is too short it's to long if you ask me
@Jo1892 I would have to agree. It does not (in my experience) seem to be a matter of “do they have a little dark side?” But how dark and how good at concealing it are they?
there is much you can do about this but you must be clear with yourself about what you really want, and what it will mean to your longer life if you "Go thru with it"
I know a LOT about this, I am uncomfortable to say more so openly Please consider a conversation
Well I guess it's a part of human nature to always have to wrestle a little between "both sides" of oneself. Ultimately I think the best goal is to try to accept oneself as-is, and what one sees as flaws, try to rectify over time, compassionately.
Either you can work on eradicating the thoughts each time you start going down that path (something I've never had any luck at), or you start - cautiously!! - exploring them as desires, and considering if you want to nibble at any of them as acts.
That totally depends on what type of darker fantasies you're talking about (even though I must say I do have a hunch). Why not try role playing online? It's harmless and you get to explore more of yourself. Maybe you'll learn stuff you didn't even know?
