Finally, gym after more than 2 weeks!

After my 10k run, I felt like my strength and energy took a long vacation. I was congested and had flu-like symptoms 2 days later and was on bed rest until the rest of the week. The following week, I still didn't feel I was up to doing strenuous exercise --- which I have grown to love because of the endorphins and that I sleep really well after exercising.

Today, I did mostly weight training and did a 200-meter fast run on the treadmill. I really don't want to end up being a weekend warrior, so this means I want to be back in the gym 2 or 3 more times before the week is up.

Unfortunately, I miss running outdoors. We have been getting heavy rain almost every day.

I posted a similar pic a few weeks ago. I am particular about addressing the saggy parts of me. Just to be clear, it's not because I hate the way my body looks such that I want to push hard. I am enjoying the feeling of becoming stronger, quicker, and less prone to exhaustion. I have seen the effects of poor health on my loved ones, and I want to do what I can to live a quality life.

Can't really say disease-free, because I already have things to watch out for like high blood pressure, gall bladder stone, osteoarthritis, and who knows what else awaits at my postmenopausal stage.

I hate talking about ailments. I'd rather talk about plans to run another 10k next month or hitting the pool doing laps wearing a mermaid tail.

P.S. Don't DM for naughty reasons. It's mid 2023 and I can post by big butt here and feel respect for myself at the same time. :)

Don't act more self-righteous now, you probably have darker, more sinister thoughts of hatred and whatever toxicity you have itching to manifest itself in your comments.
