I don't measure the value of a person....I think all people are invaluable.

@DragonFruit ok but some benefit society and some dont. What if one person is a loving father and humanitarian and the other is a serial rapist whos been in prison multiple times?

If we are all valuable, what defines our value?

@GuyWithOpinions It's not my place to judge the value of a person...some are what they seem to me or to you
and some are not.
A serial rapist is not precluded from being a loving father and humanitarian abd vice versa.
All people are invaluable and, even though they appear to have different values to some, it can be a matter of perspective. I opt not to be the arbiter of value...but feel free to use whatever method you wish if you want to do so.

@DragonFruit "its a matter of perspective". Thats a good answer.

@DragonFruit why do you think we feel guilty to judge others of thier value?
Perhaps because we dont want to be judged ourselves?

Do you think that could be from holding on to hidden guilt of not upholding on to an idealistic standard we dont achieve ourselves? Or a matter of empathy?

@GuyWithOpinions I don't feel guilty...but I don't want to judge people without all the information (and I'm a bit too lazy to delve into their lives enough to get all the information).
While I think that empathy plays a part in that, I don't necessarily have a lot of empathy towards everyone.
I just don't feel comfortable making a value judgment on people, especially when I don't know them well.
