How your inner life?

I'm genuinely curious. What stories and fantasies do you live out through your daily routine? Where you escape to when you have a few minutes to space out? Or what do you do if you don't have that type of inner life. What occupies your mind when you're not "in the moment"?

I think of my recent dreams a lot, replay the scenes, relive the emotions, picture the environment. If not that, sometimes I get bright memories of old memorable dreams. They emerge all of the sudden so vividly and I want to return there.
Sometimes I get back to books I read or movies I watched, think about passages that I found interesting.
If not movies or books, it's some podcast, a theme I was focused on earlier, analyze that, turn it over in my head...could be also something I read on here.
In this time of the year, I think a lot of vacations I was on when I was a kid in Greece, Turkey, Tunisia, Croatia or picture places I've never been to but I would like to.

I just live in a constant state of anxiety and dread. Been that way for a few years now.

I would say I don't but is this what authors do? And then put it to paper in the hopes that others want to see their secret world.

@GeniUs this is what pretty much anyone in a creative medium does, writers of all sorts, poets, authors, screenplay writers, comedians, songwriters. They're all sharing a part of their inner world

I mostly retreat to happy memories.
I'm a daydreamer.

I retreat to something calm

Maladaptive daydreaming, mostly focused around stability and belonging. Some can go on months and years

Can I have your date of birth?
