No.... but as far as I recall, this was all unknown when I was a child (not "kid" - I am not a goat).
The nonsense invented by American supermarkets as "Hallowe'en" had not yet drifted across the Atlantic like plastic goods from a foundered shipping-container.
(It is a commercial prostitution of a mixture of Scots children's tradition that involved lanterns carved from turnips - not pumpkins then - and an ancient English church, memorial event possibly based on earlier pagan ideas. Nothing to do with fairy-story 'witches', aeronautical bedsheets going "Wooooo!", and plastic bats and spiders.)
