What would you do for $50,000 US dollars?

Just curious
about a half a year of work

@plaguewatcher not really. I wish I wasn't so alone. Like, they only thing I could think of is to be a person of influence. I'm actually in a leadership role at work so that's great and all but I wish I was something bigger.

I just wish my life could have more of an impact than just being a stranger. I wish I was well known and respected. Rather than just the guy people seem to really like at work .

@GanglandCriminal97 Who's getting that much money flipping burgers? I thought it was a minimum wage job? Massachusetts minimum wage is 14.25 USD/hr so if you work 40 hours a week, 50 weeks a year that is only 28.5 kUSD

@GanglandCriminal97 that happens all the time, people go to college and some people don't even get to work the field they pursued. The trick in life is to not saddle yourself with too many burdens. If you were married and had kids to deal with then you would probably be 48 Grand in debt rather than have it in savings. You are doing a lot better right now than probably most people your age.

@empanadas i worked for a few years just to get that. I always wished i can be like you, just have it come from the sky.

I worked really hard just to have that much. And you know what i plan on spending it on? Nothing... because if i spent all that money or even most of it I'd be no better than the guy holding a cardboard sign on the side of the road.

My car almost has 200,000 miles on it due to driving it back in forth better Ottawa Ontario and Utica, NY. I bought the car used 4 years ago. It had less than 100,000 miles. Somewhere around 90k.

The car has lasted longer than anything. Only had one major repair, spring of this year the frame broke and i knew a guy who welded it back together. Still passed inspection this month. My mechanic said drive it till it dies and i will.

The money is there so when life goes wrong i dont have to worry. If i spent it I'd worry.

I think just working for it makes it more valuable to me. I definitely will get a nicer car. This is the only Subaru ive ever own that has been a pain in the asss. Last subaru i had died right at 200k. I hope this one is different. Im at 191k. I wanna see how far i get with it.

It is startinf to look rough though lol maybe i should give her an early retirement and just make car payments on a nicer looking car. I kinda wanna show off. I think i may be at that stage already.
