The old question, and I'm curious, what has changed in culture in the last twenty/thirty/forty years?

It will help if you add in the decade you are referring to.

Myself, I find this culture in actual happenings social more closed, anxious than ever - but in contrast in words, more open? Hard to explain how I find people more coy, shy than ever, yet open minded? I'm not a forward person, but one memory sticks out to me, while at a bar, waiting for an atm, the topic of cats came up with a woman? I don't remember how? That led all the way to asking each other about number of sexual partners, and her being pan sexual? It was a new term for me.

Yet, while this was a discussion we were having, that went onto in front of the bar after the atm, the bartender (woman), overheard it and when I asked for a drink, she said I should kick you out. Ahem? It was a mutual discussion, and in my recollection, I had admitted things more vulnerable. But I do get it.

The woman I was talking with said, come with me. She must have observed and felt something towards.

I have warm memories of that night.... and the most that happened I met someone, and I left. I was really just curious. The woman caught that and I don't think I deserved the bartenders cynicism. But yes that's the world NOW

This is year 2016?

(I forgot to add this was at an LGBTQ+ event with everyone invited)
